Short version
Salah Times has no accounts, no signup, no analytics and no servers of its own. Everything happens in your browser.
What stays on your device
- Your chosen city / location, calculation method and prayer-time cache are stored in your browser's localStorage so the site loads fast on repeat visits. You can clear them any time from your browser settings.
What leaves your device
- To fetch prayer times, your browser contacts the free Aladhan API (api.aladhan.com) and — when you search a city or use GPS — the Open-Meteo geocoding API and OpenStreetMap Nominatim for reverse geocoding. Those services see the same data any website sends when you look up a location (your IP address and the place you asked about).
- Your GPS coordinates are only read when you tap “Use my location”, and only your browser and those location APIs ever see them. We run no backend, so we never receive or store them.
